A Designer’s Dream: St. George Parade of Homes
We’re a few weeks out from the St. George Parade of Homes, and boy, oh boy, was it something to dream about.
Our team has never been to Utah before (other than the amazing Amangiri resort, which our Marketing Director had the pleasure of visiting), so St. George was a welcomed new treasure. I think it’s safe to say we didn’t know what to expect—1. from the Parade of Homes itself, and 2. just how stunning Utah really is. We were quickly captivated by our surroundings: the red mountains resembling our beautiful Sedona scenery, the snow-capped mountains in the distance looking picturesque from every angle, and the way the valley felt so vast and open, visible from corner to corner. Needless to say, we were in awe of Mother Nature.
Now to the parade itself. Working in custom design for the past three years, we’ve often had clients bring us inspiration from various Utah home tours, wanting interior spaces or exterior elevations that reflected what they had seen. After seeing so many of these homes online and through client concepts, we thought it was vital to experience them ourselves.
Utah has several home parades throughout the year, and St. George is the first to kick off in February. With over 30 homes on the list, we took a long weekend to explore as many as we could within the ideal price points and square footage of homes we are designing.
We were easily impressed by so many things these homes had to offer. Many were perched on hills overlooking different areas of the valley, providing some of the most spectacular views. I honestly don’t even know how it would feel to wake up to scenery like that every day. The views are definitely factored into the home prices, and every penny would be worth it. We also took notice of the materials being used, wall molding applications, furniture and lighting selections, as well as the layouts and rooms each home had to offer.
Naturally, our favorite homes reflected our personal style, but there were many things we loved about modern designs as well. We were happy to see the different styles, other designers’ takes on them, and how we could be inspired by what we saw.

All in all, we couldn’t be happier with our visit to St. George and having this as our first experience with the Parade of Homes. We cannot wait for our next visit to see more incredible properties and unique design details that will inspire our future projects here in the valley.
